Quantum Science Seminar

Recent work on the foundations and interpretation of quantum mechanics

An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in the theory of quantum information processing. A brief review of the most recent publications will be followed by a presentation on a specific paper or set of papers. All faculty and students are welcome.
There seems to have been a flurry of recent interest in the foundations of QM, with emphasis on ways of looking at
them that may help quantum information processing. The quantum information interpretation of QM that relates
entanglement and measurement, the relationship of the Bell inequalities to game theory, quantum Bayesianism, and
an answer to the question of the reality of the wave function have all been claimed to be relevant breakthroughs. An
attempt will be made to exposit some important details of such matters.
