A VOICE APP COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
AND OTHER SELECT UNIVERSITIES
OnStar is the world's most comprehensive in-vehicle safety, security and communication service. We can keep you safely connected in ways you never thought possible.

We’ve launched the 2011 OnStar Student Developer Challenge because we know that no one could have bigger and more interesting ideas about staying safely connected in a vehicle than students enrolled in select universities like yours that specialize in creative problem-solving in technology and business.

The OnStar Student Developer Challenge is your chance to help OnStar explore the future of Responsible Connectivity. You’ll compete against the best student developers in the country to create the most original and compelling Voice App using OnStar vehicle data.

The Grand Prize:
Developer Dream Package (Valued at $10,000) including iPad, MacBook Pro and more.

6 Semi Finalists will win an all-expenses paid VIP trip to O’Reilly’s Where 2.0 Conference to present their Apps to a prestigious panel of judges.

Enter as an individual or as a team of no more than five members.

Register now and start developing your OnStar Voice App at onstardeveloperchallenge.com

At the kickoff event:

Learn everything you need to know to enter the Challenge. Voice App experts from OnStar and QuickFuse will be on hand to show you voice app examples and give you tips on developing Challenge entries using the QuickFuse voice app platform, OnStar Vehicle data models and external APIs via SOAP or REST interfaces.

There’ll be plenty of food and drink and quiz prizes like gift cards and t-shirts. We can’t wait to see great Voice App ideas you’ll come up with using OnStar.
