Introduction to Microwave Communications Group (MCG) at Analog Devices

MCG is responsible for a very large and diversified portfolio including single function broadband products such as filters, switches, mixers, and power detectors, as well as fully integrated ICs for the 5G mmW, SatCOM, and point-to-point markets. Our products span DC to 110+ GHz, built on various semiconductor technologies, from advanced SOI/BiCMOS to high power GaAs. We regularly have positions available for design engineering, applications, and product engineering for all levels, B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. In this talk, you will see why communication at microwave frequencies is important and how we achieve it at 110+ GHz.  You will learn what each job function does within the organization and understand how you will be able to apply your training and your education to contribute to our product development cycles. Speaker: Fatih Kocer, Ph.D. received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees of Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2002 and 2005 respectively. He was the founding member of Hittite Microwave’s first off-shore design center in Istanbul, Turkey, where he worked for 8 years. Between 2013 and 2017, he was a faculty member at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. In 2017, he joined ADI in Massachusetts, as the senior manager of design engineering in the MCG business unit.
