e-HAIL Research in Progress. Prescribing Medical Applications: From Lab to Bedside

Despite AI and other digital tools increasingly demonstrating effectiveness in health care, there is limited literature describing successful implementation of these technologies in real-world clinical settings. This is believed to be partly due to limited clinician and patient understanding of the strengths and limitations of these technologies, which may also lead to distrust. If we are to realize the full potential of these tools, we must begin to understand the factors that make clinicians more likely to prescribe AI-based applications, and the factors that make patients more likely to use them.
